Will the Library be open on bank holidays or between Christmas and New Years Day?

Answer

CU Coventry, CU London (Dagenham and Greenwich) and CU Scarborough campuses are all usually closed on bank holidays (English public holidays - some bank holidays differ for Scotland and Northern Ireland). This means that staff will not be available and libraries cannot be accessed at these locations.

Campuses, and campus libraries, are usually closed between Christmas Day (25th December) and New Years Day (1st January) inclusive. Actual dates will vary from year to year, and will be clearly displayed on LibGuides from mid-December.

Coventry University's Lanchester Library remains open on bank holidays and most days around Christmas: see their FAQs page for opening hours. As a CU Group student, you are able to use the Lanchester Library to study in and borrow from if you wish to. If you have an urgent query, you can contact staff based at Lanchester Library during holiday periods.
