How do I use Locate to find books?

Answer

You can use Locate to find books, ebooks, journal articles and more. Simply select the version of Locate for the campus you are studying at; if you are just looking for online material then any version of Locate will work for you.

You can use the search box to look for a topic, a particular book title or author. To restrict the results list to books and ebooks, click the 'books' icon underneath the search box.

For online books, you will see a 'full text available' or 'online access' link below each book's basic information. Click this to get access (you will be asked for your University email address and password if you have not already logged in).

For print books, you will see information about where the book is shelved in the Library. Make a note of this to help you find the book in the Library.

For more information and video guides, see the Library Basics page.
