How do I renew my books?

Answer

If you are a current Coventry university member all three weeks and one week items you have on loan will automatically renew 2 days before the due date unless:

  • Another user has requested the item. 
  • The item has reached its 12 months maximum renewal period.
  • You have library charges on your account.
  • There is a block on your account.
  • The item is not renewable e.g. Laptop etc.
  • Your user record has expired or will expire before the renewal date - for example you are coming to the end of your course.

If you wish to renew your books manually, you may renew through -

  • Telephone - Call 024 7765 7555 during service desk opening hours. You will need your ID card number and details of the book(s) you wish to renew.
  • In person - Bring your books to the library and use the self service kiosks.

To avoid incurring charges, please check your library account and any notices you received from the library regularly.
