Q. Why can't I renew my book on Locate?

Answer

Renewal will not be allowed if any of the following apply:

  • You have had the item on loan for a long time and it has reached the maximum loan period.Maximum loan period is 15 weeks for students and 24 weeks for staff.
  • Another user has requested the item. If you see "Recalled" next to any item you have on loan this means that another user has placed a reservation on it and you will not be able to renew.
  • You have fines/charges on your account of £10 or more.
