Q. Why is Access Forbidden on an e-resource?

Access Forbidden Message

If, when logging into our Eresources, you see the ‘Forbidden’ message, and you are a student or staff member at Coventry University, please check the following:

  • Are you ‘non-payroll’ staff or have an honorary position?

In this case, you will need to request access to our electronic resources. Please complete the form ‘Non-payroll staff application for access to eresources

  • Are you an ONCAMPUS (Cambridge Education Group) student, or a student at a Partner institution?

You don’t have access to all of our resources, please go to our Partner pages.

  • The resource may not be something that we subscribe to or own – search in Locate to confirm.
