How can I borrow and return a laptop?

You will need your student / staff ID card to borrow a laptop from the self-service laptop safes.

Select 'Borrow' and scan your ID card.
Accept the terms and conditions and the screen will display the number of the locker which is opening.
The locker will light up and unlock.
Take the charging cable along with the laptop

These laptops can be used in the Library only, with a maximum 8 hours loan period. When the time is up or you have finished with the laptop:

Select return laptop from the touchscreen.
Tap your ID card on the sensor below the screen.
The correct compartment will open for you.
Remember to re-insert the charging cable: if you do not plug the laptop in it will remain on your account.
Please check that the locker door has shut properly.
