To access ORCID, use the general 'sign in to ORCID' option. Attempting 'sign in through your institution' on the ORCID site results in an error message.
If you already have an ORCID account, login using the general 'sign in to ORCID' option.
If unsure whether you have an existing account, search the ORCID registry for your name and it will provide your ORCID ID if you have one. You can then use this to request a password reset.
If you don't already have an ORCID account you first need to set one up independently . Go to ORCID registry to create an ORCID ID. You can register using either your CU email address or a personal one. There's a help guide. It's also possible to create an ORCiD in Pure. Click on the 'Create or Connect your ORCiD ID' link when editing your profile.
N.B. Even if you register with your CU email, going forward, you still log in to the site using the general 'sign in to ORCID' option rather than 'Sign in through your Institution'. "
