As a guest or visitor to the Library can I have Wi-Fi access?

Answer

If you are a member of staff or student from another UK Academic Institution and access our library through SCONUL Access scheme, you could use EDUROAM to access our wireless network for free. Please make sure you have activated EDUROAM by downloading the installer. When installing please select your home institution. If you have any difficulties with EDUROAM please contact the IT helpdesk of your home institution. If your institution does not participate in EDUROAM, please ask at the Library Welcome Desk.

If you are FOCUS member or short-term visitor, please ask at the Welcome Desk for the Digital Services phone number. Please note at busy times Digital Services may not be able to grant the Wi-Fi access immediately.

Members of the public with associate membership or annual visitor pass, and college students and sixth-form pupils with library access card can ask at the Library Welcome Desk and staff will raise an online request to ensure Wi-Fi access for the duration of the card. Please note at busy times there may be a delay in providing access. You can then access our Wi-Fi through the network FIREBIRD.
