Answer

To sort your reference list alphabetically in MS Word:

  1. Highlight the reference list (do not highlight the whole assignment) 

  2. In the Home tab, in the ‘Paragraph’ section, click on the AZ icon 

  3. A pop-up box will appear, do not change anything in this box. Click ‘OK’
