How do I reference an image/picture found in a journal article/book/Google images? (APA)
Answer
Reference list entries for an image are no different to references for a quotation. For example, if you have taken the image from a journal article, provide a journal article reference in the list of references. If you have copied the image from a website, provide a website reference.
For examples how to format the citation, visit the 'Images' section on the A-Z Referencing Examples page.
If you have found an image on Google Images, click on the image to expand it. Then click the title under the image. This will take you to the original website that the picture has originated from. You should then reference the website it appears on.
