DOI stands for Digital Object Identifier and is a string of numbers and letters.
It is a unique, persistent number that is given to many online journal articles, books and other material, found on the title page or first page.
Example: https://doi.org/10.2501/S0265048709201026
In APA Style, the DOI number should be included when available instead of the web address and the DOI should be clickable. If there is a only a string of numbers and letters given, turn this into a clickable link by putting https://doi.org/ at the beginning.
If you cannot find a DOI, leave it out.
